Minnesota Gets An Amazing New Title
In my opinion, Minnesota is way underrated. Everyone thinks we are a boring state with nothing to do. The cold doesn't help.
Anytime one of my friends visits me, they are always surprised by how amazing the state really is. It's beautiful with so much to do. Of course, there's also the Mall Of America.

It does help that we have the Minnesota State Fair to boost our profile in a good way. It has been named the best fair in the country several times over.
Another thing boosting our profile? That fact that Minnesota just snagged an amazing title in a new study by WalletHub. This gives us bragging rights for sure.
WalletHub Names The Most Fun States In The Country
Fun is subjective, of course. What is fun to one person might not be fun to the other but we are going to take it! To make this list, analysts looked at restaurants and movie theaters per capita, golf courses and country clubs per capita, and more.

The study, which came out on Tuesday (August 19th) also looked at things like marinas per capita, national parks and the variety of other entertainment establishments. In this lens, Minnesota really has it all.
Minnesota Cracks The Top Ten - One Of The Most Fun States For 2025
Yup, Minnesota has been named one of the most fun states, coming in at number nine on this list. That is pretty darn impressive. We have one of the highest numbers of performing arts theaters per capita, and some of the biggest variety when it comes to entertainment venues.

Another thing that helped? Minnesota also scored high when it comes to state and local expenditures on parks and recreation per capita. We have a lot of great local and state parks so this makes sense. Way to go, Minnesota!
Wisconsin came in at number seventeen on the list. As for the most fun state? That would be California, which definitely makes sense. The least fun was West Virginia. Sad!
