
Suicide Prevention Signs Being Installed On Some Wisconsin Bridges
If you are struggling, people out there want you to know that help is available. You can call the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline 24 hours a day. You can even chat online with someone to get the support you need in a very difficult time. Now, that message has been shared via signs on several bridges in Wisconsin.
Suicide Prevention Signs Coming To Twin Ports Bridges In 2025
The Superior Telegram reports that two new signs will go up on the Twin Ports bridges in early April. This follows other signs being installed on bridges in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, and Wasau, Wisconsin, in 2024.

Two bridges connect Superior, Wisconsin, and Duluth, Minnesota. Two signs will be installed on the Blatnik Bridge approach, and two signs will be installed on the Bong Bridge approach.

The effort to bring the signs to the bridges was started by Chrissy Barnard, executive director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Superior City Councilor Jenny Van Sickle and Anna Carlson, director of the Douglas County Health and Human Services Department.
