The Taco John's restaurant in West Duluth was robbed on Friday, November 7th. The robbery took place just before 8 PM. A white male, about 6 feet tall and wearing dark clothing, entered the location demanding money from the cashier.

Fox21online reports that the suspect was armed with a handgun. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. There were no injuries to employees, customers, or bystanders. The suspect left with an undetermined amount of money, and witnesses didn't see which direction he went.

The Duluth Police Violent Crimes Unit is investigating and is urging the public to come forward if they can identify the suspect by calling 911 or the violent crimes unit at 218-730-5050. They recognize that the camera quality may not be identification quality.

The police hope someone can identify the male based on the clothing that he's wearing. They shared an update on November 10th, saying that no individuals have been taken into custody. The gunman remains at large as of Monday Morning, November 19th, 2025.
