New Fuel Discount Offered At Dozens Of Minnesota, Wisconsin Gas Stations
With the way gas prices move around (generally in the more expensive direction), getting a fuel discount where you can is something pretty much anyone can appreciate.
While people across Minnesota and Wisco are familiar with fuel discounts like the coupon you get with your receipt at Fleet Farm or the awesome Kwik Rewards discounts that regional favorite Kwik Trip offers, there are some new options for drivers making stops at Minnesota and Wisconsin gas stations.
This new discount offering will come in handy not only for people in areas where there might not be a Kwik Trip or Fleet Farm, but also as a new benefit to something a lot of people have access to.
What is this new gas discount available at Minnesota & Wisconsin gas stations?
Amazon just added a new benefit to subscribers to their Amazon Prime service that offers fuel discounts as part of a new partnership.
People who have Prime are familiar with a number of things you can get access to or take advantage of as part of your $14.99 per month or $139 per year subscription.
Besides things like access to their streaming video service, shopping and delivery perks through their online platform, and partner deals with companies like GrubHub, Amazon recently announced a new partnership with earnify that gives Prime subscribers access to a 10-cent fuel discount at participating gas stations.
What gas stations are part of this deal?
The partnership with earnify provides an opportunity to earn a 10-cent per gallon fuel discount at what Amazon says is a list of over 7,000 gas stations across the country including the brands ampm, Amoco, and BP.
While there aren't any ampm stations in Minnesota or Wisconsin, there are a number of BP and Amoco stations in both states.
How does the discount work?
According to Amazon's fuel discount information page, this is a free perk for Prime subscribers, but it does require a little setup.
In order to get the 10 cents per gallon discount, they say you need to link your Prime account with an earnify account (which is a free rewards program and app for BP and ampm gas stations).
The discount is a 5-cent discount through earnify - which is available as a standalone discount without a Prime account - and an additional 5-cent per gallon discount through Prime to give a total of 10 cents off per gallon.
In essence, being a Prime member doubles your discount if you have the earnify and use it at participating gas stations.
