New ‘Fear Factor’ Reboot Puts Casting Call Out To Wisconsin, Minnesota
If you've taken on the dare of eating some live bait while fishing, you've had a "hold my beer" moment around a campfire, or you're not afraid of the questionable mystery ingredients in your quirky family member's cooking, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
A casting call is being put out to brave Wisconsinites and Minnesotans to take on the question of whether or not fear is a factor for you.
That's right, the show Fear Factor is coming back!
I saw a post in an online Minnesota casting call community, emphasizing people from the Land of 10,000 Lakes and neighboring Wisconsin to apply to be part of this new reboot.
As the show's producers ramp up for an interesting revisit of the early 2000s TV competition, daring individuals will have the chance to make their way onto the new show.
Here's what you need to know about the show and how to be considered for becoming a contestant.
What do we know about this 'Fear Factor' reboot?
Nearly 25 years after it initially appeared on NBC, a reimagined version of the extreme game show will be coming to a new network soon.

While we don't know if Joe Rogan will return as the host (he's pretty busy with other stuff these days), or even if Ludacris from a later MTV rendition of the show (as seen below) will be back, but we do know that the new, "reimagined" version of Fear Factor will be on FOX.
People reports that the new version will be "bigger, bolder, and more daring" than the original. One of the twists is that the competitors, a group of strangers, will be "dropped into an unforgiving, remote location" to live together under the same roof while taking on stunts and challenges.
It sounds kind of like a blend of Fear Factor, Survivor, and Big Brother, which certainly is a twist on the original show's format.
How can Minnesotans and Wisconsinites be contestants on the show?
The network just launched a casting call website, where interested US residents ages 18 and older can submit a form to be considered to become a contestant for the new version of the show.
If fear isn't a factor for you, you'll need to provide basic information about yourself, including your contact information and social media handles.

They also ask for a short biography about yourself, your best and worst characteristics, special skills you have, and even something that might surprise showmakers about you.
They also ask for a few photos and a video of yourself.

When is filming for the new Fear Factor going to happen? When will the new show air?
According to information on the application form, they are looking for candidates who are available for filming on dates from mid-August 2025 through mid-September 2025.
With filming expected to get underway late summer/early fall, you might wonder when FOX plans to air episodes.
While there hasn't been a confirmed release date announced, it is expected to be part of the network's 2025-2026 TV season schedule.
