The folks at Glensheen Mansion in Duluth shared the lineup for this summer's beer and music events, offering a whole lot of summer fun lakeside on the beautiful grounds at Glensheen.

If you've never attended an event like this at Glensheen, it is an absolute must you need to put on your calendar this summer. The events are free to attend and the backdrop of Lake Superior and the grounds at the mansion are an unbeatable way to spend a nice Northland summer evening.

Just like last year, summer festivities get underway at Glensheen with their Beer Garden events in June, with a different Twin Ports area brewery being featured throughout the month.

Each Wednesday, you can enjoy a craft beverage or non-alcoholic drink with a beautiful lakeside view. Entry to the grounds is free to the public to attend (beverages are for purchase), going from 5 pm to 8 pm each Wednesday. There will also be food trucks onsite, rounding out a nice after-work destination.

Here's the lineup for their Beer Garden series:

  • June 5: Earth Rider Brewery with Oasis Del Norte Food Truck
  • June 12: Ursa Minor Brewing with Oasis Del Norte Food Truck
  • June 19: Castle Danger with The Rambler Food Truck
  • June 26: Bent Paddle with The Rambler Food Truck

The free Wednesday fun continues into July and August as Concerts on The Pier return. Glensheen calls this their biggest Concerts on the Pier yet, with a total of 18 musical acts set to perform.

Each of the nine evenings on the schedule this summer will include an opening act and a headlining act. Each night, the opener will perform from 5:30-6:00 pm and the headliner will play from 6:30-8:00 pm.

The lineup features some great local bands and others from around the region. The event is free, with food and beverages available for purchase. Food trucks will be on-site, with other treats like ice cream or some alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages also available.

2024 Concerts on the Pier Lineup:

If you're planning on watching, try to get there early to get the best spot. Bring a chair or blanket to watch from the shore, or you can paddle or boat up to the pier on Lake Superior, too!

If you want to arrive extra early, Glensheen offers the tip of purchasing a tour ticket and doing a grounds or mansion tour before the gates open to the public at 5 pm. Glensheen will also be offering free shuttles (with a suggested donation) from UMD for each show.

If you plan on watching from the water (which is a fun and encouraged way to watch the shows), Glensheen does note that you cannot launch watercraft (including kayaks) from the property. You'll need to get in the water elsewhere to head on over to the pier.

Speaking of lakeside recreation, here's an incredible vacation rental right along the shore of Lake Superior just over two miles away along the shore in Duluth.
