Minnesota Celebrity Chef Sent to Jail After being Arrested at Spirit Halloween
A Minnesota chef known for TV appearances, books, and popular restaurants has been arrested at a Spirit Halloween and was sent to jail.
The arrest was due to a no-contact order violation, just two days after the chef pleaded guilty to a felony due to a domestic assault altercation with his girlfriend back in June of this year.

CBS News is reporting that celebrity chef Justin Sutherland was spotted with the same woman at a St. Paul Target store by a police officer, while police worked on confirming the no-contact order, the two made their way to a nearby Spirit Halloween store.
The officer called for some backup before entering the store and arresting Sutherland for violating the non-contact order. The violation is a gross misdemeanor, and Sutherland was hauled off to the Ramsey County Jail, where he still remains as of Friday morning, according to the jail roster.
The incident in June started when Sutherland cancelled plans to go to a music festival with the woman, during an argument about the change of plans, Sutherland was accused of choking and threatening her with a gun.
Officers found 10 firearms and ammunition in his apartment, and he was charged with one felony count of threats of violence/reckless disregard. After the incident, the complaint says the Sutherland entered a treatment program.
Sutherland is best known for his appearances on shows like "Top Chef" and "Iron Chef America." He's also a co-host on TruTV's "Fast Foodies" and won an Emmy for hosting "Taste the Culture." He's involved in several restaurant projects in the Twin Cities.
