Macaroni and cheese is one of the ultimate comfort foods. Whether in classic noodles and cheese form, or with "fancy" add-ins, it rarely fails to please.

A viral restaurant chain focusing on custom-building your own mac & cheese masterpiece that has been expanding across the country has expanded to Minnesota, and I'll admit, I'm excited.

What is this viral mac & cheese place you're talking about?

This mac & cheese destination is called Roni's Mac Bar, already with locations in several states across the country. Their new location, in the Twin Cities, will bring their viral mac & cheese bar experience to Minnesota for the first time.

They call themselves the "Chipotle of mac & cheese" (or, the Subway of mac & cheese if you're a sandwich person). The whole idea is you walk through the line, choose your base, and ask them to put your choice of around 20 toppings on it that includes veggies, meats, and other toppings to customize your creation.

Above is a video showing off the mac & cheese bar to give you an idea. You can see just how loaded you can make your mac & cheese dish if you want to go wild.

Their menu options include classic mac bowls, melty grilled cheese, or loaded potatoes. All of which sound very much like a "yes" to me. Speaking of their grilled cheese sandwiches, check out this creation below that mixes mac & cheese with a grilled cheese sandwich.

Oh. My. Goodness.

When and where is Roni's Mac Bar opening in Minnesota?

As tends to often be the case for trendy fast-casual places like this, the Mall of America in Bloomington is home to this new Roni's location.

The mall recently shared that they just recently opened, but they are holding a grand opening celebration on Saturday, April 25, starting at 11 am. The first 100 people will get the chance to win free mac & cheese for a year, which sounds amazing!

Tour Minnesota's Fanciest Mini Golf Course - The Centennial Lakes Putting Course

While they won't call it a mini golf course, it kind of is. This 18-hole course boasts all real grass playing surfaces, natural obstacles like sand traps, boulders, and water, just like a real golf course.

The whole course looks and feels like a shrunken golf course, and it plays like one, too! The holes are long! The shortest hole is 57 feet, the longest is 125 feet, and the whole 18-hole course plays 1,662 feet.

This is no ordinary mini golf course!

Take a tour.
