Netflix has leaned heavily into turning Christmas Day football into a full scale entertainment event, using big name artists to draw in viewers who may not normally tune in for a regular season game.

Vikings, Lions, and a Little Extra Motivation

While the Vikings have been eliminated from postseason contention, the team is still playing for pride as the season winds down. The Detroit Lions, meanwhile, are fighting to secure their playoff spot, adding real stakes to the matchup.

That combination could make for a more entertaining game than expected, now boosted even further by the addition of Snoop Dogg taking over the halftime spotlight.

Ticket Prices Tell Two Different Stories

Ticket prices for the remaining games at U.S. Bank Stadium paint a mixed picture. For the Christmas Day matchup against the Lions, tickets can currently be found for under $90.

However, demand remains strong for the Vikings’ final home game of the season when the Green Bay Packers come to Minneapolis. For that rivalry matchup, the cheapest available tickets are still hovering around $140.

Whether fans head into the stadium or tune in from home, Christmas Day in Minnesota is shaping up to feature football, music, and a little West Coast flavor landing right in the middle of winter.
