The specialty Thai hibachi ice cream shop went to social media to share the announcement.

T-Icy Roll opened in the Denfeld Center on Grand Avenue back in 2018. Before T-Icy Roll, Jimmy Johns and the late, great Hollywood Video were in that location. Growing up, I would go there every Friday to check out the new movie releases, convince my dad to rent a video game, and get some snacks.

What made this shop unique from other ice cream places, was that the workers scraped the ice cream off a special cold surface that freezes the ice cream quickly and then make it into a rolled shape.

Some of their flavors included:

  • Cookie Monster - made with oreos
  • Unicorn - Passion fruit with fruity pebbles
  • Smores Galore - Graham cracker, chocolate, and marshmallow cream
  • Tropical Twist - Mango and pineapple

There were also several toppings available to add on top of the ice cream. Other than ice cream, the shop also offered:

  • Sushi (both cooked and uncooked rolls are available)
  • Bubble Teas
  • Fruit Teas
  • Smoothies
  • Slushies

I'll miss bringing my kids to the specialty ice cream shop as they were always amazed watching the workers make some ice cream magic.
