Buying Pajamas on Temu Could Put Your Kids at Serious Risk

I'll admit that I've searched and even made a purchase or two from the popular shopping site Temu, but clothing is something I generally stay away from, and here's a good reason why.

Temu is a Chinese-owned shopping platform where you can order cheap products, both in price and quality, many of the items are "knock offs" of name brand items and many of the products don't meet United States safety standards.

Right now, there are at least three active recalls on over 80,000 children's pajama sets due to violations of Federal Flammability Standards, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.

The sleep wear was sold by three different sellers on Temu, Lovely Angel, Fashion Online, and Juvenno Kids, the pajamas were sold in a variety of different designs, including two piece long sleeve and pant sets, nightgowns, and button-up short sleeve and shorts sets.

All the sets were sold on Temu between June 2023 and May 2024 in prices ranging from $8 to $10 and thankfully there have been no reports of incidents or injuries due to the defective PJs.

You can get a more detailed look at the recalled items from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission here, and if happened to purchase any of the pajamas, you are asked to stop using them immediately and cut the pajamas in half and throw them away. Consumers are also asked to contact the seller on Temu for a full refund.
