Zumbrota Man Hurt After Striking Deer on Southeast Minnesota Freeway
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Zumbrota man was taken to a hospital after the vehicle he was driving struck a deer on a southeast Minnesota freeway.

The State Patrol responded to the collision shortly before 4:30 Wednesday morning. He was the only person in his vehicle.
The collision occurred on Hwy. 52 near the 65th St. interchange in Northwest Rochester.
59-year-old Derald Paul Mitchell was driving his SUV south when the vehicle struck the animal.
Mitchell was taken to a Mayo Clinic Hospital for treatment of what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries. He was buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, the state crash report says.
The Rochester Police Department and Rochester Fire Department also responded to the collision.
