Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Light Rail Train Near Minnesota State Capitol
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities are investigating a fatal collision involving a bicyclist and a train near the Minnesota State Capitol.

Limited information is available as of Thursday morning. It happened around 4:15 Wednesday afternoon.
A news release issued by the Metro Transit Police Department says a Metro Transit Green Line Light Rail Train hit the bicyclist at the Rice St./State Capitol Station in St. Paul.
The bike rider was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities say. Their name has not been released.
Metro Transit Police are leading the investigation into the fatality and are being assisted by the St. Paul Police Department.
Officials called in buses to replace the train during Wednesday evening's commute in St. Paul, the news release says.
The scene was cleared a little more than two hours after the fatality and regular Light Rail service resumed around 6:30 Wednesday evening.
