It’s December, Here’s What the Experts Say About Our Weather

After a very mild early autumn, things have cooled significantly as of late, falling to below average temperatures in the last week or so.

It's been cold and windy, which makes it all worse. I don't mind snow (in fact I like it). I don't mind the cold. The wind can take a hike -- that's my personal deal breaker.

We have yet to see a significant snowfall yet anywhere in Minnesota, but that could change this week (stay tuned).

According to the National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration (NOAA), the parent agency of the National Weather Service, December in Minnesota looks to be pretty 'middle of the road,' with near normal temperatures and near normal precipitation.

I love winter and I love snow. I don't even mind the cold. The wind could take a hike, but I don't get to control that. My only problem with wither is that its about a month too long. If i could peel a month off winter and add it to summer -- Minnesota's climate would be custom made for me.

I bought a new snow blower last year and used it twice. So far this year zero. I love clearing my driveway, my neighborhood sidewalks, and my neighbor's driveways -- but I know; be careful what I wish for.
