We Now Know When Pumpkin Spice Lattes Are Coming to Minnesota + Wisconsin

I interrupt this summer day to let you know that rumors of fall are starting to swirl on the internet.  In fact, Pumpkin Spice Cheerios have already been spotted on store shelves!  It's August 2nd and I personally feel like that is a tad early for loading up our stores with pumpkin spice-infused items...but maybe that is just me.  It probably is because it sounds like the launch of Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks locations throughout the country, including in Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin, aren't too far away either.

When Are Pumpkin Spice Lattes Showing Up at Starbucks Locations in Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin?

As I'm writing this, it is about 90 degrees outside in Minnesota.  My car felt like a sauna and all I wanted to do was stick a few ice packs in my bra for the ride home.  I've used this tactic to keep cool during a wedding in a barn where I was a bridesmaid and it works phenomenally well!  I'm not really thinking about wearing my flannel shirts and winter coats right now, but as we all know in the midwest, that type of weather is just around the corner.

Based on some chatter on the internet, it appears that one of our favorite fall flavors is rumored to be showing up in August.

According to USAToday.com, the guess is that the Pumpkin Spice Latte will show up on the Starbucks menu on either on Thursday, August 22nd or Tuesday, August 27th.

How Did August 22nd and August 27th Get Picked As The Pumpkin Spice Latte Dates?

USAToday did some research and based on past years, the drop date for the Pumpkin Spice Latte has ranged from landing on a Tuesday for 5 out of the last 6 years.  It has also showed up on menus at some point between August 24th to August 30th.  They also got a tip from a Starbucks employee in Virginia that August 22nd is the date the new fall menu is showing up for locations.

Chatter on Reddit started about Pumpkin Spice Lattes about a month ago and the general consensus is that August 22nd is the date.  The Austin American-Statesman also verified that assumption and shared a few new items that Starbucks might be rolling out this fall including a Raccoon Cake Pop, Iced Pecan Crunch Latte Oatmilk, Salted Pecan Cream Cold Foam, Mummy Cookie, and Iced Apple Crisp Cream Chai.
