Fiji Says Water Is Safe To Drink After FDA Recall
If your family is like mine, you keep a pack of water bottles in an easy-to-reach spot by the door. This way, whether you're going to work or enjoying some summer activities, you can quickly grab a bottle of water on your way out.
Fiji, a popular water brand, says their water is safe to drink after a recall due to potential manganese contamination. Check the product details and the latest update from the FDA below.
What Is Manganese?
Manganese is a chemical element that helps the body form connective tissue, but too much can cause health problems.
High levels of manganese can harm the nervous system, kidneys, and reproductive health. It can also cause manganism, a neurodegenerative disorder with symptoms similar to Parkinson's disease.

The FDA lowered the classification of this recall to Class III which means the product is "not likely to cause adverse health consequences."
