If you're looking at heading someplace warm this winter, Delta Air Lines can help, because they just announced they're adding a new nonstop flight from Minnesota to a new tropical destination.

Winters in the Land of 10,000 Frozen Lakes are long, cold, and snowy. (Ok, our past two winters weren't *quite* as snowy as usual, but still...) So if you're looking to break things up with a warm-weather trip this winter, Delta Air Lines just unveiled new nonstop service from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to a totally tropical destination that's set to start this December.

Flying nonstop from MSP is great. And you can fly to A LOT of different places directly from MSP without having to catch a connecting flight elsewhere. In fact, the airport says airlines at MSP served 163 nonstop destinations from the North Star State in 2023, up from 156 destinations in 2023 and 145 destinations in 2022.

A lot of Minnesotans took to the skies last year at MSP. Like 37,168,257 of them-- that's the total number of passengers who went through the gates at MSP in 2024, a nearly 7 percent increase from the 34,770,800 passengers who used MSP in 2023, and the 31,241,822 passengers served in 2022.

And now, MSP's biggest carrier, Delta Air Lines, just announced that it will be adding new, nonstop service from the North Star State to Nassau, Bahamas this winter. These new flights from MSP to Nassau will depart on Saturdays, starting on December 20th and running through April 2026.
