There's good news if you're looking to head across the pond from Minnesota to a hugely popular country in Europe, as Delta Air Lines has just extended its direct flights into 2025.

Seeing as the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) is Delta Air Line's second-largest hub outside of its headquarters in Atlanta, it's not a surprise that Minnesota's biggest airline just announced that it was extending this direct flight from MSP to Europe into 2025.

It was just last year Delta announced that in May 2024, it was resuming seasonal flights from Minneapolis (MSP) to Dublin, Ireland (DUB). Shortly after that, Aer Lingus, the flag carrier and national airline of Ireland, would also be starting direct flights to MSP from Dublin in 2024 as well.

And now, there's good news if you didn't get a chance to check out the Emerald Isle in 2024, because both airlines have now said that those direct routes between the Land of 10,000 Lakes and Ireland will be flying again in 2025.

According to an X (formerly Twitter) post from Kyle Potter, with the travel site Thrifty Traveler, both Delta Air Lines and Aer Lingus are extending their direct routes between Minnesota and Ireland next year-- and even making it better.

Potter noted that Aer Lingus will be increasing its MSP to DUB flights from 4 times a week to 7 times a week in 2025. Both Delta and Aer Lingus service from MSP to DUB are seasonal routes, so they will be wrapping up for the year soon, likely sometime in October, and resuming again in the spring of 2025.

My wife and I just returned from an incredible trip to Ireland a few weeks ago, and flew on that exact Delta Air Lines direct flight from MSP to Dublin and back, and had an amazing time. In fact, coming back was even easier, because there is a U.S. Customs office located at the Dublin airport, meaning you can clear customs BEFORE you get on the plane and don't have to stand in the customs line when you land again back in Minnesota.

And, of course, Ireland was a magical place that totally lived up to everything good we'd heard about it. We can't wait to head back-- and now it'll be even easier to do, thanks to this news from Aer Lingus and Delta!

This news comes on the heels of the previous news that Delta Air Lines would also be adding direct flights from MSP to Rome, Italy beginning in 2025, as well.
