The Lake Superior Zoo had a rough go in 2020 due to the global pandemic.  They have made efforts to keep programs rolling despite restrictions from the State of Minnesota.  These efforts help to keep behind the scenes things going at the zoo but also ensures they can still provide an educational and fun experience for the whole family.

They have just added a limited time add-on experience to visiting the zoo.  It's called Wild Winter Wonderland and it gives you a chance to meet their three new wolves Shasta, Sierra, and Tehama.

In addition, there will be plenty of other activities which include socially distanced winter games, a campfire, free popcorn, and even a special treat at the Tiger's Paw Gift Shop.  The optional games include the snowball toss, scavenger hunt, and snowman making contest.  There is also a virtual option for a coloring contest and you can participate in that HERE.

The Wild Winter Wonderland add-on happens on Friday, January 8th, from 10:00AM-3:00PM.  Tickets are only $10 for ages 13 and up, $5 for ages 3-12, and 2 and under are free, though you still need to pre-register so they can maintain capacity and help provide a socially distanced event.  You can register for this event and get more information on everything the Lake Superior Zoo is currently offering HERE.
