Local Landmark Choo Choo Bar Gets A Facelift You Can’t Miss
The Choo Choo Bar & Grill in Superior has been a Twin Ports landmark for many years. It's in Superior's Itasca Neighborhood and has always been a great stop for food and drinks, including their famous loaded bloody mary.
Mary, the owner of The Choo Choo, took the time being closed due to the COVID-19 to overhaul the bar. When you walk in now you'll notice fresh paint throughout, new flooring, and yet still the same great atmosphere you expect to find. Without even walking in, what can't be missed now is the amazing artwork on the front of the building.
Brothers in Arms Murals was brought in to give the front of The Choo Choo Bar & Grill some new life. In just two days they started and finished a massive mural on the front of the bar. It's exactly what The Choo Choo needed to kick off with for a fresh re-opening to the public.
The Choo Choo has been doing carry-out from 8:00AM-8:00PM everyday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On Monday, June 29th, they will once again be open for inside and outside dining and cocktails, from 8:00AM-10:00PM daily. They will be practicing social distancing so seating will be limited and they will be taking reservations for peak hours of Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00AM-8:00PM and weeknights from 4:00PM-8:00PM. For reservations you can call them at 715-398-3788. The staff will all be following WEDC guidlines including the wearing of masks and gloves to keep the public safe. They will also be extra diligent in sanitizing before and after each guest leaves a seating area.
In addition to the work done on the building, The Choo Choo now has kids menu options making it easier to choose them for meals for the whole family. Mary has worked hard to update and improve The Choo Choo and I think you'll be amazed at how it looks now. You can see a video of the mural being painted here.
