LSC Will Be Hosting A Firefighting And Truck Driving Open House
I come from a family that has a lot of firefighters in it and was even going to pursue that career after some post-secondary courses I took while in high school. My career path changed and I ended up not going that route. The courses that I took at Lake Superior College were great, and their Emergency Response Training Center is an incredible campus facility.
There is a huge demand currently for firefighters as many are getting close to retirement age. Also, the demand for truck drivers continues to be there, and Lake Superior College is hosting an open-house event to showcase their related programs.
On Thursday, November 12th from 3:00-6:00PM, you can tour the Emergency Response Training Center. You'll be able to climb into the semi-trucks and even try out their state-of-the-art truck driving simulator. In addition you can check out the firefighting equipment, truck, and their burn box metropolis.
Firefighting programs that LSC offers includes: Fire Fighter, Fire Science & Administration, Fire Medic, Fire Technology, and Wildland Firefighter. If you are interested in any of those, or the Truck Driving program, this open house if a great opportunity to see if they would be a good fit for you. You will need to RSVP to attend this event and you can do that and get more information about the programs they offer HERE.
