The Minnesota Twins have announced they will be wearing new alternate home uniforms beginning in the 2019 season, while retiring their cream colored alternate home uniforms.

The new alternate home uniforms are navy blue, using the retro Twins script logo as well as the gold accent color they introduced in recent years.  When wearing these uniforms, Twins players will wear the primary blue cap with gold stitching.

The Twins made the announcement through their Twitter account, complete with a 3-D look at the uniforms that you can check out below.

Personally, I don't have an issue with the look of the new alternate home uniforms.  However, I really like the retro look of the cream colored uniforms, which reminded me of historic Twins teams of the past.

My grandpa used to have drinking glasses featuring the likes of Harmon Killebrew and Rod Carew in cream colored uniforms and I'll miss that nostalgic look.  Hopefully, they'll bring them out for special occasions, such as Joe Mauer Day this summer at Target Field.
