MLB 14: The Show Trailer: Taking Us Out to the Ball Game
Baseball fans should ready themselves for the release of MLB 14: The Show in April. Until that time, here's a trailer, screenshots and some more details to tide them over.
Over on the PlayStation Blog, Sony offered details on what the team at SCEA San Diego Studios has been working on for the past 10 months when it comes to MLB 14: The Show. There are over 50 new features and improvements that are meant to give you a better gaming experience, such as a new user interface and a Quick Counts feature that cuts game completion times in half.
Your saves will now carry over to future iterations of the game, as will the cross-platform saves between the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Vita. Community Challenges will let the gamers create their own scenarios to share online, giving them the power to customize their experiences.
The Universal Profile will have the power to track player tendency, which will make matchups in Diamond Dynasty that much better.
In the realm of add-on content, a new universal currency, called Stubs, will be used. One thing that they want to make clear is that you do not need to spend actually money to get Stubs, since they can be earned through general gameplay.
And of course, they touched a bit on the PlayStation 4 release, which will be the series' debut on a next-gen console. Not many details were given, but the user interface was built from the ground up for the PlayStation 4 version and is present in each other version.
You can watch the trailer above and check out the screens below for more of a look at the game. MLB 14: The Show will be released on April 1 on the PlayStation 3 and Vita, while the PlayStation 4 version will be released sometime in May 2014.
