The air is cooling down and the spooky season is upon us. A new haunted attraction called 'Nowhere Haunted House', offering a few different scare options is set to open in Minnesota.

I absolutely love the haunted attractions we have in the Northland. From the Haunted Ship in Duluth's Canal Park that unveiled frightening new props , to the Haunted Shack in Carlton, the Haunted Forest in Saginaw, and so much more. I also love doing some road tripping like last year when you could slay zombies from a bus in Wyoming, Minnesota. One of my fondest memories comes from when my family took a trip to Burnsville and went to the Haunting At Buck Hill. I remember there being four different themed houses and one stuck out the most. We were in what I believe was a vampire-themed house. My family and I got a little separated, so my mom started calling out my dad's name: "George! George!". An actor then began repeating "Georgie" in a creepy voice. My mom started freaking out even more and shouted "George, how do they know your name?!". It was such a fun experience and we all had a great laugh about it.

A new attraction is opening up in Inver Grove Heights will be called Nowhere Haunted House. This new attraction is a Haunt Armada production who are known for scary Minnesota attractions like The Terror On Southview Haunted House in St. Paul, the award-winning Fringe Festival production 'Hello Mother', and The Haunting Experience On Highway 61 in Cottage Grove:

The Nowhere Haunted House is located at 5300 South Robert Trail and opens up on Saturday, October 1st.  The Haunt is dubbed as their most ambitious project and will offer a few different experiences:

  •  Saturday Lights-On Tour: This will be a less intense experience. No actors will be there to scare you, just the lights, sights, and sounds of the newly built haunted attraction. This is ideal for people who would like to see everything without the actors. This tour will take place on Saturdays in October from 12 pm-4 pm. There will also be entertainment by magician and escape artist Karl Achilles. Available from 10/1 - 10/29.
  • Sunday Kid Friendly Lights-On Tour: Another less intense experience, but for kids. You can see Nowhere Haunted House during the day. Again, no actors will be there to scare you. The Sunday lights-on tour is a kid-friendly day, designed to be less scary and more informative. Available from 10/2 - 10/30.
  • Nowhere Haunted House: Dubbed as the signature Halloween attraction and the granddaddy of them all. Creep through unique scare zones full of terrifying creatures, colorful characters, film-quality set design, and disturbing effects. The world as you know it is over. You're a survivor and these are the horrors you encounter on the road to Nowhere. Available from 10/1 - 10/31.
  • Insomnia 18+ Experience: Insomnia is dubbed as a hardcore, hands-on, fully immersive experience offered by Nowhere Haunted House. As you check yourself into a terrifyingly unorthodox sleep study you’ll notice there’s something off with the staff and other patients. . .something unsettling. After solving puzzles to escape your exam room, you’ll creep along darkened corridors as you encounter disturbing dream sequences and hope for a way out! This production is for 18+ only and requires a signed waiver as actors will be able to touch participants. Available from 10/3 - 11/19.

You can purchase tickets for any of the experiences here. Check out a behind-the-scenes video from the new attraction:
