The Minneapolis city council now has a majority support for a new Vikings stadium, that's according to Minneapolis mayor R.T. Rybak.  This clears another hurdle for the long awaited stadium, although far from completed, it may provide a much needed jump start for the slow moving stadium project.

Citing jobs and the chance of lowering property taxes in the city as reasons, at least 2 councilors either changed their minds or as one put it "made up his mind" to give support to a new stadium.
