Packers and Vikings Fans Rated Among Most Passionate in NFL Popularity Index
With catchy fan section names like The Black Hole of the Raider Nation and the Cleveland Browns' Dawg Pound, every NFL team has a ridiculously loyal fanbase. The question is, which team has the wildest and most loyal home crowd? Forbes Magazine released its list of most rabid fans and both the Packers and Vikings find their fans in the top ten teams among the 32 in the league.
The index used to measure team rank included local and national television ratings, traffic to official team websites, mentions of team names online, population, and other factors. The ratios resulted in the Packers landing atop the rankings, with the Vikings rounding out the top ten. Below is the full list of team rankings in the popularity index:
- Green Bay Packers
- New Orleans Saints
- Indianapolis Colts
- Buffalo Bills
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Tennessee Titans
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Carolina Panthers
