What Superbowl Hangover? Aaron Rodgers and the Pack started off the season with a win, continuing what they started last season. Does this mean they will repeat? No, there is a long season ahead - but they are one game closer to reaching that elusive goal.

Every year analysts and NFL experts crush the point that it is spectacularly difficult to repeat Super Bowl success in back-to-back seasons. They are right, it is incredibly difficult to capture all of the elements it takes to go all the way twice. Some teams have never even been able to do it once (see Vikings). In any case, the Packers were able to manage a win against a good team and start their road to repeat Thursday night.

The NFL was definitely right to choose the Packers and Saints for the 2011 season opener. Although the Packers went up 21-7 in the first quarter, the Saints kept things interesting for the national audience. In the end, the Packers were able to out-score the Saints, but when you look at the duel between Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees, Brees out-performed Rodgers in many statistical categories. Rodgers went 27 of 35 for 312 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Brees went 32 of 49 for 419 yards and 3 touchdowns.

One of the big highlights of the night, and quite possibly the difference-maker for the Packers, was the third quarter 108-yard kick return by rookie Randall Cobb. Cobb had caught a touchdown pass in the first quarter, but this incredible return serves as one of the most exciting highlights of the night - and is essentially the difference in the game's final score.
