Packers Prepare a Marshall Plan for Bears WRs

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Even without Jay Cutler, the Chicago Bears have a star receiver who can help make his backup look good.

It's up to Green Bay's secondary to make sure Brandon Marshall doesn't get that chance Monday night at Lambeau Field.

The 6-foot-4 Marshall is no pushover. Plus, he's got help in the passing game from emerging 6-foot-3 wideout Alshon Jeffery and 6-foot-6 tight end Martellus Bennett.

They're hoping to ease quarterback Josh McCown's transition into the starting lineup for Cutler, out with an injured groin.

One positive for the NFC North-leading Packers is that they have a full complement of relatively healthy defensive backs again, with Casey Hayward back from a hamstring injury.

Sam Shields, a 5-foot-11 cornerback, says maintaining leverage against the Bears' big receivers will be important.
