When Kevin Dubrow passed away in November 2007, many thought that would be the end of Quiet Riot. They did reform in 2010, with the blessing and encouragement of the Dubrow family. And, consequently went through several singers since then.

In 2014 the band did release another album titled "10", and a documentary called "Well Now You're Here, There's No Way Back". They recorded those releases with vocalist Jizzy Pearl, who then left the band in late 2016 to pursue a solo career. They picked up Seann Nichols for what would turn out to be less than six months, when they parted ways with him in February 2017. Which brings us to the present with American Idol Alum, James Durbin.

Durbin finished in fourth place on the 10th season of American Idol. He had the honor of performing "Livin' After Midnight" and "Breaking the Law" with the likes of Judas Priest on the finale that year. Not too shabby.

So far there seems to be a very positive response to James' joining the group.  From his stage presence, he seems to be very comfortable with his new gig.
