Jared Allen's sack record, glimmers of hope with a rookie quarterback, and earning a third overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft are among the few highlights of the Vikings' 2011 campaign. Recently appointed Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman says the last item in that short list may be up for trade.Spielman told the NFL Network:

Draft day will certainly be busy...[W]e’ll be looking at all the options. If someone wants to come up and get our pick, we’re going to be more than willing to listen.

The Vikings to have several problems to fix through the draft and free agency, including finding an elite outside receiver, filling holes on the offensive line, and a repairing a defensive backfield that leaked like a sieve all season.

If the Vikings hold on to the number 3 pick, speculation continues to surround left tackle Matt Kalil from USC and wideout Justin Blackmon out of Oklahoma State. Either of these choices would come as a welcome addition to the team, but there is another position some are looking at.

Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III both look to be top picks; and although Indianapolis may be in the hunt for a new quarterback, the Rams certainly are not being they have Sam Bradford on staff. This would likely leave one of these rookies up for grabs when the Vikings go on the clock this spring.

Spielman was asked about looking at quarterbacks in the draft, and he admitted that all options were on the table, but didn't go into detail beyond that.
