The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced a sign structure installation project this week in Cloquet.

The overhead sign structure installation project is scheduled Tuesday, February 19 and Wednesday, February 20 on southbound Hwy 33 at the roundabout near Interstate 35.

According to MnDOT, in order to complete the project, the southbound right lane (north of the roundabout) will close Tuesday afternoon. This will allow delivery and assembly of the sign structure.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, both southbound lanes will close for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. This will allow for the installation of the sign structure that extends over the traffic lanes.

After installation of the structure, motorists should expect to encounter southbound single lane closures while signs are installed on the structure.
