Skate For The Heart Free Family Skating Event is February 13 in Duluth

The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Division has a special free, family event planned just in time for the Valentine's Day holiday.

Skate For The Heart is Wednesday, February 13, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Essentia Duluth Heritage Center, located at 120 S. 30th Avenue West.

Bring the family, and your skates, for a fun evening which includes:

• A live DJ and Valentine's Day themed lighting
• Valentine crafts
• Heart-healthy activities
• Jump rope challenge
• Heart-related science displays

All children should be accompanied by an adult and there is no need to pre-register for the event.

Everyone who attends is encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate for the food shelf.

This will be a great way to take the kids out for some Valentine's Day fun the day before you get out for some grown up time on the actual holiday, which is coming up on Thursday.
