It's business as usual for road crews with the Minnesota Department of Transportation as a variety of late winter-early spring projects take hold.  Some prep work being done in advance of the Twin Ports Interchange project will close down a lane of I-35 for a day in the Duluth metro.

MNDOT is alerting drivers that the left lane and shoulder of southbound I-35 will be closed to traffic on Thursday, April 2; the closure will affect those lanes between 21st Avenue West and 27th Avenue West during the daytime hours of 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM.

The lane closure will facilitate drilling and survey work.  MNDOT anticipates that the work will be complete within the day - but if needed, the closure will resume on April 3 to allow the crews the chance to wrap up the project.
