The 2nd annual Spikeball Tournament to raise money for the Black Woods's Bilzzard Tour, which benefits the ALS Association of Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota is approaching fast.

I'll admit, I had heard of spikeball but didn't know what it was so off to Google I went.  The short version is that it's basically a combination of volleyball and four-square.  It's a trampoline game and this tournament is being held in the sand at Skyline Lanes & Volleyball.

Teams are made up of two players and for this tournament, it's a round-robin format with seeded playoffs.  On Sunday, September 8th, the tournament check-in starts at 11:30AM and at 11:45 the rules will be announced with the games beginning at Noon.

You do need to register in advance in order to qualify to play on the 8th, and you can get more information and sign up your team here.  The fee is $40 per team with all of the proceeds being donated to the fight against ALS.
