Local small business owners who are interested in applying for an assistance grant from St. Louis County's Small Business Relief Fund have the ability to attend one of three upcoming virtual meeting sessions.  There is no advance registration required, and the information provided at each session will be the same.

Here are the dates and times:

  • Monday, August 17:  10:30 - 11:30 AM
  • Monday, August 17:  6:00 - 7:00 PM
  • Thursday, August 20:  11:00 AM - 12 Noon

To join the Webex session, click here to visit the link provided on St. Louis County's website. The information session will include an overview of the St. Louis County Small Busienss COVID Relief Grant Programs and St. Louis COunty potential to administer local business COVID funds.

The funds available to small business owners is part of the CARES Act Grant.  The St.Louis County Board - as part of the plan to distribute the county's portion of CARES ACT funding - approved $6 million in Small Business COVID Relief Grants.  These grants will be distributed in two phases to qualifying businesses adversely impacted by and responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

According to information provided by St. Louis County, Phase I will begin on August 24 and will focus on businesses and non-profits with 25 or fewer full-time employees.  These businesses may apply for assistance equivalent to $1,000 per employee - up to a maximum of $25,000 for COVID-related expenses incurred by the business such as to purchase PPE, cleaning supplies, signage, and safety barriers.

Phase II will begin on September 7 and will provide emergency grant assistance of up to $50,000 to businesses and non-profits with 100 or fewer full time employees for COVID-related expenses.
