Stenson wins Deutsche Bank Championship

NORTON, Mass. (AP) — Henrik Stenson made three straight birdies on the front nine, then holed a bunker shot for birdie on 17 to post a two-shot win over Steve Stricker in the Deutsche Bank Championship near Boston.

Stenson closed with a 5-under-par 66 and tied a tournament record with a 22-under total. The 37-year-old Swede leads FedEx Cup standings after two playoff events, assuring him his first trip to the Tour Championship and a clear shot at the $10 million prize.
