The summer solstice marks the onset of summer.  If you're like me, summer is very much on the brain.  Even if it's socially distanced, summer brings out the good vibes and I think most of us can use that after several months of being cooped up.

The Breeze Inn is celebrating summer with a party, but also are turning the event into a fundraiser to help Northland children.  It starts at 6:00PM on Saturday, June 20th, at the Breeze Inn located at 5168 Jean Duluth Road.

The party will feature live music from The McCullough Brothers from 6:00PM-8:00PM on the patio.  There will be a fire to celebrate the summer solstice, and The Breeze Traveler food truck will be there.  They do encourage you to bring a chair if you plan to attend and support the cause, as outdoor seating is limited.  Proceeds from the event will go to Project Joy.  They are a non-profit that helps Northland kids get healthy and well balanced meals.  You can get more information on Project Joy here.  More information about the Breeze Inn Summer Solstice Party can be found here.

This is a good opportunity to get out of the house, enjoy some live music, and help out a good cause all at once.  Even though summer is just technically starting, as always in the Twin Ports, it will go fast, so get out and take it in.
