COVID-19 continues to muck up planned events but people have been creative in finding ways to modify things while keeping social distancing in mind.  One such event is the Annual Dennis VanAlstine Memorial Car Show, normally held in Superior on Tower Avenue located between Belknap and Broadway.  For 2020, it will be a motorcycle and car cruise.

It leaves from the Mariner Mall at 6:00PM and will have a few stops along the way.  At the stops, drawing tickets will be given out for various prizes that will be drawn for at the final stop.  They have all kinds of prizes including past events shirts and other items.  There will also be merch for sale at the stops.  Everyone is invited and you can ride or drive anything with a motor to participate.

In addition to the cruise, there will be a food drive.  As a bonus, with every non-perishable food item brought, you will receive extra tickets for the prize drawings.  They will be accepting non-food items for the Salvation Army as well, and will have a donation box too.

The cruise ends right around 10:00PM at The Superior Fair Grounds for the fireworks.  It all happens on July 4th.  This is a great way to get out, have some fun, let those classic car and motorcycle pipes scream, and still maintain social distancing.  Check out the Facebook event page for it, here.
