Not only can you eat lunch with the Mayor - you can ride a bike with him, too!  That's the promise of an event scheduled for Saturday, June 8 in Superior.  It's being billed as the Superior Mayor's Bike Ride & Luncheon - and it includes the seasonal launch of the municipal Zagster Bikeshare program. The event also promises participants a sneak-peek of the new location of Thirsty Pagan hours before it's open to the general public.

The event starts at 10:45 AM at the bus stop on Catlin Avenue near the Yellowjacket Union's Parking Lot 11 on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Superior.    Then, riders will hop on their bikes along with Superior Mayor Jim Paine and ride about a mile and a half to the Thirsty Pagan.  Lunch will be available (for a fee) at the Thirsty Pagan, along with a keynote speech will be given by local business owner and 30-year biking and walking advocate Alice Tibbetts.

The activity is free, however their is a fee for the pizza lunch:  $5.00 per person or $20.00 per family.  Click here for ticket information.
