Superior Public Library Gears Up For Huge Annual Book Sale
After being away for two years, The Friends of Superior Public Library announced dates and times for huge book sales to the public.
The dates are Friday, September 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, September 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Superior Public Library is requiring face coverings and social distancing measures will be taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19
The book sale will be held at the Superior Public Library on Tower Avenue. The organizers are excited to finally being given the green light because last year it was shut down because of the growing numbers of COVID. The Friends of Superior Public Library has been collecting books even though the sale didn't happen for two years.
That has created a huge inventory of books which should make book lovers happy after having to skip a few book sales. The inventory will carry a variety of books for every kind of reader and should take care of the demand to the public.
There will be a variety of gently-used books, movies, audiobooks, children’s books, magazines, and more. All proceeds from the sale are used to support library services and programs throughout the year and is the biggest fundraiser for the Friends of the Superior Public Library. The FOTSPL said they will also be collecting donations for those not wanting to purchase books but still want to support the event. You can drop or money or book donations off at the main library entrance on Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
