The Minnesota Senate has decided not to go ahead with the proposed Northern Lights Express. The passenger train had a route from Minneapolis to Duluth with stops along the way.
The Cramer Tunnel, about 78 miles north of Duluth is the largest railroad tunnel in Minnesota measuring about 1,800 feet and has been abandoned since 2008.
We all get stopped by trains and normally it's not a big deal. But when you have multiple trains block off half the town for quite some time it gets to be problematic.
