Cookies and treats are a huge part of the holiday season. There are a ton of different Christmas cookies to choose from and each is just as delicious as the last.

With so many to choose from, online site Delish.com decided to do some research and break down the most iconic holiday cookie in every state.

According to their research, Minnesota's most iconic holiday cookie is the speculoo and/or speculaa. This cookie concoction is a spiced shortcrust biscuit, sometimes topped with cookie butter. To be honest, I have never even heard of this type of treat before but it sounds delicious.

In true Wisconsin fashion, the most iconic holiday cookie is based on cheese - cream cheese that is! Cream cheese cookies are the favorite. Now THIS type of cookie I have definitely feasted on before!

As for other states, Arizona loves Russian tea cakes, California prefers fortune cookies dipped in chocolate and Connecticut keeps it simple, feasting on snickerdoodles whenever possible.
