As COVID-19 vaccines continue to roll out across the Northland, many people have had questions to the point that some local informational hotlines became overwhelmed as people sought answers. To help answer some of those commonly asked questions, the Twin Ports area's TV stations are teaming up in conjunction with local health experts and the Duluth News Tribune to provide answers.

The effort, being called "COVID-19 Vaccine: Finding Answers", is a collaboration between our news partners at WDIO along with KBJR 6, FOX 21, CBS 3, and the Duluth News Tribune, culminating in a one-hour live TV special on the local PBS station WDSE•WRPT on Wednesday, February 24.

These news outlets will work with health experts from entities like the St. Louis County Department of Health, Essentia, St. Luke’s, Fairview Range, and Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital to offer tips and information as well as answer common questions about COVID-19 vaccines; such as whether it’s safe to get vaccinated if you have underlying health conditions, the differences between the available types of vaccinations, and more.

Through the day, WDIO, KBJR, FOX 21, CBS 3, and the Duluth News Tribune will file reports featuring health experts and advice over these media outlets' various platforms. At 7 pm on Wednesday evening, WDSE•WRPT will broadcast a one-hour special to dig deeper into answers and information.

The WDSE website explains that Northland TV legend Dennis Anderson will host the one-hour special on Wednesday evening, which will feature local health experts and stories produced by each participating media outlet. The special will air on WDSE•WRPT’s PBS North channel and will also be streamed online via all of the area's news outlets.
