When Steven Tyler announced a solo project involving Country music, some people were surprised.  I didn't fall into that category.  I found my appreciation for music on hard rock but with that appreciation came an open mind about the art of music.  Sometimes people forget that a lot of rock music has at least some roots tying to country.  Country music doesn't have to be all twangy and whiny and it doesn't have to be over poppy.  Tyler showed that with an album that had more of a blue rocky edge to it.

A new documentary focusing on Tyler's branch off to country music is set for release on May, 15th.  Titled "Out on a Limb" it will also kick off the 49th Annual Nashville Film Festival on May 10th.

Have you listened to any of Tyler's "Country" music?  What do you think?
