A triple play is no easy feat in baseball.  In fact, there had never been one turned at Target Field.  Tonight, the Minnesota Twins changed that.

The Twins hosted the New York Yankees in the first of a three-game series and things got off to a rocky start.  The Yankees started the first inning by getting runners on first and second with nobody out.

Then, Target Field history was made, which you can watch through the video shared through this Twins tweet:

The Twins would ultimately hit 5 home runs and hang on to win a wild game 8-6.  With the red hot Cleveland Indians again beating up on a weak team by beating the Toronto Blue Jays, the Twins need to keep grinding against tough opponents to stay atop the AL Central.
