For the first time since 1995 the NCAA is bringing the Women's Final Four back to Minneapolis in 2022.

The Target Center will host Women's Final Four games on April 1st and 3rd, 2022. The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and Minnesota Sports and Events will co-host the event.

The logo for Minneapolis Women's Final Four was also released yesterday, the teal, blue, orange, black and white compass-shaped logo features four stars representing the four teams in the tournament and the iconic Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis. The top of the logo also features a nod to the NCAA brackets.

“Our women’s basketball community is excited to return to Minnesota, which has a long history of love and support for the game,” said Lynn Holzman, NCAA vice president of women’s basketball. “We look forward to working with our host school in Minnesota, as well as Minnesota Sports and Events, in creating a memorable experience for our teams, fans and the Twin Cities community.”

Ticket information for the 2022 Women’s Final Four will be available after this year's tournament wraps up in San Antonio early in April. The event will also need volunteers, you can keep up with all the event information here.

The last time the Women's Final Four was at the Target Center in Minneapolis with Connecticut, Stanford, Tennessee, and Georgia competing in the tournament. Connecticut beat Tennessee in the Championship game 70-64, UConn wrapped up the season 35-0 and this championship was the first of 11 for the team.
