Zeitgeist Arts Cafe To Temporarily Close
A press release issued yesterday by Zeitgeist Arts Cafe announced that they will be closing temporarily due to financial implications and also because of safety concerns regarding staying open due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
According to WDIO Tony Cuneo, Executive Director of Zeitgeist said "We're going to use this time as an opportunity to build on the successes our staff have worked so hard to realize to and to reimagine a restaurant that will reopen better and stronger than before. It has truly been an honor to serve you for the past 10 years, and despite this temporary closure at the restaurant, the rest of Zeitgeist continues to fight every day for a creative, sustainable, inclusive community."
The cafe is only part of what is offered at Zeitgeist with the Zinema Theater, Teatro performance theater and the local legends of Renegade Theater group. Zeitgeist, is an arts and social change nonprofit organization. Like many local business The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted the organization.
According to the Zeitgeist website: "Whether you are a community nonprofit that has used the space for a fundraiser or film screening, or a corporation that has used our private dining room for a conference or event, we simply couldn’t continue to do the work we do without your support."

Every time I have gone there the staff were exceptional and the food was delicious, plus it is a different vibe then anywhere else in Duluth. You always hate to see this happen to any local business, but I feel pretty confident they will be back open sooner rather than later.
