In November of 2022 it was announced that Ronnie James Dio would get immortalized as a Funko figure, and I knew I had to have it.

Admittedly, I'm not a huge fan of Funko figures, I just don't "get it".  Mostly I think because if I snag a collectible action figure type item, I want it to look like it should.  Meaning a mostly accurate depiction of who it is supposed to represent.

Still, it's Dio, and for a whole twelve bucks, I threw my name on the "notify me when available" list.  A few weeks back, I was told it's go time to order my first ever Funko figure, which turned into more than one.

Teasing me with free shipping if I spend over $50, and offering a 10% discount on my whole order, I purchased more of course.  Funko must know I'm a sucker for "free" shipping, if there is such a thing.

For the POP! figures besides Dio, I also snagged Marty in Puffy Vest, and Doc with Helmet.  As part of their Vinyl Gold Collection, they offer 5" figures of which I went with Slash and Axl Rose.  So, they got me, Funko got me to purchase more than I ever said I would get of their products because of Ronnie James Dio.

Now, I didn't buy these to save and potentially make money on one day, so I'm going to take them out of the boxes.  To some that's a Funko sin, but I'm all about sinning.  At the end of the day, I've spent a fifty-dollar bill on dumber stuff, and now Dio can hang out in the studio with me.  I'm thrilled with my first, or rather first few Funko figures.
