EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier says he will decide later this week whether Josh Freeman or Christian Ponder will start at quarterback against Dallas on Sunday.
It was announced in today's Minnesota Vikings press conference that Josh Freeman suffered a concussion, making it likely Christian Ponder could be starting Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers.
Following Thursday's release from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Josh Freeman and the Minnesota Vikings have reportedly agreed to terms on a 1-year, $3 million deal.
Christian Ponder did not practice again today in London for the Minnesota Vikings as they prepare for their home away from home game in London against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. His rib injury was worse than initially thought, giving Matt Cassel the green light to start on Sunday.
