Someone out there could be $50,000 richer.  The Minnesota Lottery is reporting that a winning Powerball ticket was sold at a convenience store in Biwabik. As of right now, no one has stepped forward with that ticket to claim their prize.

Lottery officials are also reporting that that winning Powerball ticket just missed the mark to take home the whole $65 million prize.  According to the news release from the state lottery, the ticket sold in Biwabik "matched four of the first five numbers...along with the Powerball".

The unclaimed prize tab on the Minnesota Lottery website shows that the winning ticket was sold on February 26 at Edwards North Country in Biwabik.

Since lottery rules don't automatically release the names of winners over $10,000, unless the person who has that ticket agrees to a public release when they turn it in, the Minnesota Lottery won't divulge their name.  That regulation changes last fall to help maintain the privacy of big ticket lottery winners and help prevent the potential for scammers and fraud.

The winning Powerball tickets for the drawing were 15-32-36-48-64 and a Powerball of 19.

On their website, the Minnesota Lottery includes a 'Check My Numbers' tool.  Any ticket sold or associated with the Minnesota Lottery can be checked to see if it's a winner.  All you need to do is drill down the game type, date, and then enter your numbers to see if your ticket is a winner.
